I have reserved to myself 144,000 who will not bow to the image

They have tore down thine altars O father, they have built an image of BAAL

Why is the Trinity issue so important?

The Trinity is a big deal because if gives us a misconception of God's love for us by denying that God gave his only begotten son.

If you believe in a trinity it teaches us that the father wasn't really a father but pretended to be a father.   Is this love?  Actually it is bearing false witness.  So if God wasn't really the father, but only pretended to be, he is actually a hypocrite because he told us not to bear false witness but yet he is bearing false witness pretending to give us his son.

Not only that but really if the trinity is true then the father didn't really give his son because he really had no son to give.  What kind of love is that?

This is what a Trinitarian has to believe.  Here is a modern Adventist publication and they speak for themselves and  I am not making this up.  Also if you think about it long and hard you will realize that to believe Christ is a co-eternal, he could not be the literal son of God.

“A plan of salvation was encompassed in the covenant made by the Three Persons of the Godhead (no text) who possessed the attributes of Deity equally…. One of the divine Beings accepted and entered into the role of the Father, another the role of the Son…” Adventist Review Oct. 31, 1996 p.12 week of prayer.

So you can see what they believe.  That the father was not really the father, and that he did not really give his son.  Here is another quote.

“The Father–Son relationship in the Godhead should be understood in a metaphorical sense, not in a literal sense”. (Max Hatton, Understanding the Trinity, p. 97)

METAPHORICAL – a figure of speech in which a term is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable. (Macquarie Dictionary)

This is really saying God did not give his son.  What does the bible say about this doctrine?

1Jn 5:10  …. he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

Also if he never really had a son to give, that means he is not his father.

1Jn 2:22  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

2Jn 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Why is this doctrine so important??

1Jn 4:9  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Love....Love is what draws us to true repentance, This is the first and great commandment, this is the rock on which the church is built, this is eternal life to know the only true God and Jesus Christ, this is love.   Trinity destroys God's love for us.  God really gave his literal son.  Heaven was poured out for us.  So this is pretty important.     Much love, God bless, David
